As the founder of Fortitude Wealth Planners, LLC., Vicki L. Beam brings over 20 years of financial management experience to the team. Vicki learned at a young age what it means to build a financial future, seeing her parents’ relentless determination to work and provide a stable and comfortable life for their family. Vicki began applying her love of financial studies in college, where she started her higher education at The University of Michigan before ultimately receiving her B.S. in Computer Science and Management from Russell Sage College in Troy, New York. She has passed examinations for the FINRA Series, 6, 7, 24, 63, and 65.
After college, Vicki worked for over 10 years with Southland Corporation, the world’s largest operator of 7-Eleven convenience stores. This was where Vicki worked with franchise owners to improve their bottom line, until moving on to further her financial advisor career as a Registered Representative with Waddell & Reed, Inc. Vicki worked her way up to a Division Manager at Waddell & Reed, serving in charge of financial advisors throughout the Northern Michigan area, until ultimately leaving the organization to pursue her dream of owning her own financial consultancy firm. This led to the birth of Fortitude Wealth Planners, LLC, which was started in 2006 and quickly began serving clients all across the country.
Vicki leads the team at Fortitude Wealth Planners, LLC, specializing in a holistic financial planning approach, centered around assessing her clients’ individual goals and helping to develop a plan to achieve them. Vicki considers herself to be blessed to have a family that still focuses on enjoying life while emphasizing financial responsibility. Her parents were one of her first clients and still brag about her to all that they meet. Vicki works with everyone from individuals, newlywed couples trying to navigate the path of their financial goals, to those enjoying their best life in retirement.
Although her family will say she is always working, when she is not at the office, Vicki enjoys spending quality time with her husband Jim, her grandchildren Briella, Emerson, and Alex, as well as their parents Magan, Johnny, and his fiancée Morgan. You may also find her on the road on her Harley Davidson Softail Deluxe (proudly named Joy), line dancing, traveling, gardening, and just plain enjoying life.
Michelle came from across the pond, relocating from England to Illinois at the age of 5, and ultimately settling down in Northern Michigan in 2016 to be near family. Michelle specializes in educational funding and insurance planning and has obtained her Bachelor’s degree, as well as Series 7, 66, and Professional Insurance Licenses. She enjoys helping others achieve their college planning and financial goals.
When she’s helping others with their financial and educational goals, she spends her spare time enjoying family and friends, especially her two nieces, nephew and dog, Bentley. Michelle enjoys decorating, traveling, and exploring new places.
